Until you are listed as a registered owner on the vehicle’s registration, you will not be able to purchase car insurance for the vehicle. In the meantime, the current registered owner should get a quote for insurance for the car and add you as an occasional driver.

Once you officially become the owner, you will need to submit a request through your YouSet account. Once your request is received, a member of our team will reach out and work with you to modify the policy accordingly.

  • Go YouSet.ca
  • In the top-right, click « My Account »
  • Sign in by following the on-screen instructions
  • Under your car insurance policy, select « Modify Policy »
  • Select « Need help? »
  • Follow the steps that appear on the screen
